First impressions last: the wide deck overhanging the rushing Metolius River, sheltered by huge Ponderosa trees instantly bring a deep sense of peace and privacy. Entering Dragonfly you'll enjoy the antique leaded glass in the kitchen. Walk thru the full kitchen and you'll enter my favorite room of the entire 13 Lodges. This bedroom has a queen bed and a small table and chairs with a 180 degree view of the river including the handmade wooden bridge to Cold Creek, flanked by the wood sculpture by world famous J. Chester Armstrong (see attached photo). Southern and western light fills this room for reading or just sipping coffee and watching for playful river otters and jumping trout. Evenings can be spent in front of a lovely wood burning fire, or sipping wine on the deck (no mosquitos). This cabin is truly "one of a kind" and you'll not find another like it. It was once a pony stable and it's actually a real log cabin. See the history of the Metolius River in the Lodge book on the coffee table.
